Summer seems a million miles away, that long hot balmy summer that set the benchmark for all future summers.
Came across some hazy summer recollections from the InfraRed roadtesting field trips. Its easy to think that’s all this is is a few filters, common enough on any mobile app, but that’d do it a grand disservice. This is recording the UV lights falling and being reflected from a scene. Standard issue DSLR filter out this as it gets in the way of how our eyes see the world. By removing these built in filters and replacing them with filters a little further along the spectrum we can record and essentially ‘see’ the world quite literally in a different light.
Manmade objects appear dark and black, while green vegetation fizzes with UV.
