Carlingford Lough is a real beaute of a thing.
I’ve seen it from a few different angles, but more often than not when its under a dreary threatening hulk of grey. I was shooting a timelapse and some photography for the Greenore Port when I got to spend a couple of days out there, and saw all the seasons – a few times over.
Trying to get across you essence of any business in a single photo is forever a challenge. Think I’m getting close in this shot though I may be cheating by using a wide panoramic format. Greenore Port shipping best technical feature is that it has a deep draw suitable for larger, heavier, deeper draw ships to come in ( you could guess at that by seeing the fjord valley – come on now, work with me on this!) and you can see they manage a lot of loose bulk containers with stone or animal feed.
