I think for delicate little morsels, tiny little things than can be hoovered up or sumptuously devoured, mouth-feel is such a key moment. It’s that initial contact, the initial sense, when cake meets mouth.
It’s how the biscuit breaks, the discs give way as they’re sitting on a architecturally unsound platform of cremes and berries. The biscuit base sticks to your mouth cos of the aerations. Delectable. Divine. Delicious. I bloody love it.
I really do enjoy getting up close and personal with food photography, that way I think you can start mentally guessing how its gonna feel in the mouth, whats gonna break, crumble, ooze or pop. Macros food photography is how you can get closer to food you’re only ever gonna see in a photo.
